Who is your all time favorite Cardinal player?

I still wear my 100 year anniversey authentic Jake Plummer jersey when I see the Cardinals in Seattle. My Dad is a huge cowboy fan so the playoff win holds a special place in my heart. I was like 13 or 14. Good times.

Like many others have stated there are so many that I really liked. Jim Hart, Ottis Anderson, Neil Lomax, Roy Green. Jake the snake would be top of my list and Larry Centers he gave everything he had even when it didn't matter.

The one I don't care for that many do is Aneas Williams. He imo wasn't a class act after leaving the CArds. He put the Bidwills down even after they had pd him millions and allowed him to leave to go play on a team that had Super Bowl possibilities. And that was a class act by the Cards only to have Aneas blast them for the way they conducted their football operation.

First hi to all, this is my first post.

I've been a long time fan of the Cardinals. To give you an idea how long. Charley Johnson was the quarterback and Charley Winner was the coach.

With everyone anxiously waiting for training camp to open and not a whole lot to talk about at this time. I thought would start this thread. I'm very curious as to what others consider their favorite player.

I'm not talking about who was the best all time Cardinal player, just your favorite.

Perhaps I'm just being nostalgic, but mine would Terry Metcalf.

He set the all time combined yards in one season record (2,462) in the 14 game era and his record stood until 16 game era started.

He's my favorite not just because of the record, but when got his hands on ball, you knew it was going to be exciting.....he was fun to watch. But what tops it off, he was a very likable guy. Sure I did not personally know him, but you could tell from interviews you would be proud to say he was your friend.

For those who watched the video. Don't you wish they would bring back the all white uniform. Again maybe I'm just nostalgic, but I think its the best looking uniform....

Eric swann and Eric hill were fave's of mine. I liked kwame Lassiter too.

But Aeneas Williams will always be my favorite defensively through the 90s. Fitz and jake Plummer are up there. As was frank sanders. Larry centers.

I'm actually a huge Darnell Dockett fan too.

I love all the former players of this team.

I have loved watching a lot of great Cardinal players and to pick a favorite is hard, but what Fitz is doing right now is very special and has to be number one!

I only started watching football back during the playoffs of 2009, so I don't have much to draw on beyond our current team, but my favorite has to be Fitzgerald. The day Patrick Peterson was drafted, he shot up all the way to #2, and it's pretty darn close now

I think your looking for just one player here. I too have to agree on all of your past picks . But in all fairness Warner has to be your favorite.The guy who made us cuss and scream at him one minute and cheer the next .Not to mention lead this team to the big game. Now that's what football is all about....Lets find that again !
