Kobe Bryant said he believed his 2012 USA team would win against the Dream Team. Bryant said, "They were a lot older, at kind of the end of their careers. We have just a bunch of young racehorses, guys that are eager to compete." Dream Team member Barkley said that he "just started laughing" upon hearing Bryant's comment and that the Dream Team would win by double digits. Jordan added, "For [Bryant] to compare those two teams is not one of the smarter things he ever could have done... Remember now, they learned from us. We didn't learn from them."

Dream Team was the best and always will be. It was the perfect storm.

Patrick Peterson should play every position on this team

no doubt the dream team would destroy the 2012 team. Today's performance leaves no doubt about it.

God Barkley is so stupid. What the **** could you learn from them you old *** retired players?****...and its like...you think you get good by "watching" other players play?Acting like they taught them anything.

When they shoot like they did the other night...theres no stopping them.

This team is alot more gifted athleticly and they just rely on that too much instead of focusing on fundementals..Like they get bored..like the Heat did randomly in the playpffs.

Haha idk...anytime there is a debate like this i always lean towars the new school player. And no that doesnt mean i dont watchbball lol...Coach K agrees:P

I find it funny that newbies think the current team is so much more athletic that it makes up the difference. We are not talking about 2012 to 1950's. You would have a valid point if the gap was that huge. They are not a lot more athletically gifted.

    1. Lebron (best player on current USA team) is not better than Jordan. Too think Jordan is not athletically gifted in comparison to today's players is plain stupid.

    2. The OG team played in a more physical and competitive NBA. Now a days most regular NBA games look like a gloried scrimmage. Occasionally you get some fired up games (Christmas or rivals). The regular season is ho hum and the play doesn't elevate until the playoffs. The overall competitive nature of the NBA has declined. You want to see hardcore NBA, watch the old games between the Bulls vs Knicks or Bulls vs Pistons.

    3. No current player can match the competitive fire and spirit of Jordan. The stories of his killer instinct are legendary. The pickup games at his basketball camps put most of today's regular season games to shame.

Jordan yes...but as a whole and NBA together.Players are more athletic and better today.Like i said...show me how many NBA players are representing other countires in 1992.Never seen players as big and athletic as Lebron or Dwight Howard ever.

Its like...who is more athletic...Jerry Rice or Calvin Johnson?

Whih is why Coach K pretty much said the same thing....i dont think he is a "newbie"...ill double check.

You never heard of Hakeem Olajuwon? He would destroy Dwight Howard and was 100% more athletic. Many still consider Hakeem Olajuwon the most athletic center ever. Add Karl Malone and Shaq? You know who David Robinson is? Gary Payton? Isaiah Thomas? Clyde Drexler? Scottie Pippen? Dominique Wilkins? Clyde Drexler?

Jerry Rice or Calvin Johnson? Bad comparison. Jerry Rice is the greatest WR ever. you have to do better if you really want to make your argument. I would take Rice over Calvin or Fitz 100% of the time - anyday ending in a Y.

Coach K has vested interest. He has to say that. Coaches in the NBA usually do...They do not have the power that NFL coaches do.

The euro players during the Jordan era had Vlade Divac, Peja Stojakovi, Detlef Schrempf, Toni Kukoc, Arvydas Sabonis. Rony Seikaly, Rik Smits, Drazen Petrovic.

    you should look them up.

so because Johnson and his teammates have more talent the Lions can beat those 49er teams. LOL, that is your logic. very flawed. Talent does not equal better player. by your logic the Eagles should win the next 3 or 4 superbowls. LOL. Next you will say the Heat can beat the 95-96 Bulls.
