Groves actually made a lot of plays. I would like to see that against starters, but that is a good sign.

I enjoyed watching the younger players.
Massie saw a lot of playing time. got desteroyed a few times. Potter looked good outside of his first snap.

The problem is, with that type of injury, he may not be able to play in the next few games. If that's the case, all Skelton really has to do is put in his normal performance of ~55% acc, 75ish rating and they almost have to start him because there's 0 evidence that Kolb can do any better. I've been on the JS bandwagon from the beginning, but I really wanted Kolb to open the season as the starter and just see what he had. If he misses any time, I just can't see it. And, honestly, there's an outside chance he could be cut. Is Bartel backing up Skelton really that much different than Kolb at this juncture? They just need to keep a few unemployed veterans on speed dial (i.e. What's Leftwich up to?).

Kolb could be out 4 weeks, so lets say till 3. September, that means that Skelton has every time of the world to get the starter, who I'm kidding he will be the starter this season.
So that QB competition was short.
And for Kolb i hope we trade him before we need to cut someone instead of him, even Bartel looked better in the pocket than Kolb.
From the rest what we got:
Skelton looked ok, not great much run, some good throws 1 awful(the 2# QB of the Saints looked much better). Bartel looked ok for a 3th QB, Lindley was probably the best revelation of this evening for the AZ, he was quite accurate his Footwork was quite good(can get better) and his decision making was okish(the INT wasn't needed LaRonByrd was free, and the Snap before Skelton was free). He looks way better than Skelton 3 years ago, he looks better than Skelton last year at the preseason games.
Fitz is Fitz, Floyd looked good, Roberts looked better than Doucette, LaRon Byrd probably will make a rooster spot, Williams, Sampson might be cut there. Gray did look okay. Didn't like Jaymar Johnson at all.
Smith looked ok LSH was fine. On Powell/Crank i didn't see enough to be positive or negative. Sherman was good some good blocks some good catches/runs.
Housler looked great(1 drop shouldn't had happened) Skelton and Heap did good. Webb and Drey didn't convince me.
Massie has a lot work to do, to beat out Bridges, Porter needs to work harder, Levi seemed bad under Kolb looked ok under Skelton(he somehow plays better for Skelton) Klemente did ok, Snyder too, nothing great by both. Colledge gets old but was okay. Lumpkin had some ups and some downs ok-ish for 3th string. Wedgie was good from what i saw(if someone saw something bad plz tell).
Adams looked awful on defense but great on Special Team, D. Williams and Carter looked good, Carter seemed better, Bethel and Flemming looked great, Groves too. Gay was ok too (nr. 37 in case for the poster that asked). I didn't like Paris Lenon, Haggans looked not good very slow,
Kicker/Punter Feelay was ok, Zazu didn't convince me, the Saints Kicker was way way better. Schmitt did ok, but for my taste he was some-kind short too.
