Default Odds on the Cardinals (Vegas)

Sportsbook.com currently has the Cardinals odds as listed below:

+2500 to win the NFC West (last, Rams +800, Seahawks +120, 49ers even)
+12500 to win the NFC (dead last)
+25000 to win the Super Bowl (ahead of only the Jaguars +30000)

    A few thoughts:
I'm putting $5 on the Cards to win the NFC West; injuries, funny ball bounces, and general crap can happen in the NFL. Who knows how much of a difference Palmer will make & risking $5 to win $12500 is worth it to me.

I don't believe the Cardinals will be the worst team in the NFC; I think the Bucs, Panthers, Lions, and at possibly one NFC East team will give them competition for that title. I also don't believe the Cardinals will win the NFC.

I don't believe the Cardinals will win the SuperBowl, but I also don't think they are the 2nd to worst team in football. My 2 cents.

Wow. I'm surprised by those odds. No one seems to be giving the Cards a chance. Looks like I'll be putting some money down, too.

You are getting 25 to 1 odds for cards to win the west. A $5 bet will only net you $125, not $12,500. (you missed the decimal) Definitely an interesting bet. Cards has the potential to be good and they also have the potential to be a train wreck.

You're right; I read it as 2500 to 1. It's been so long since I bet on the money line!

Ha. If it was 2500:1 I would probably put like $100 bucks down or more.

Vegas odds on the Cardinals dropped from +12500 before the first preseason game to +1500 after the first one. For the SuperBowl, we went from +22500 to +8000.

I was in Vegas a few weeks ago before training camp started, and placed a $100 bet down on the Cards winning it all at 150 to 1. So if they win, I win $15,000. I know, a total sucker bet, .... that is, until I win!

Now you just hope they make it to the SB as a favorite. Then you can hedge and sprinkle a few grand on the ML for the underdog so that you come out way ahead either way.

Haha. I wish. IF (and maybe it's a big IF at this point) they go to the SB, I wonder what the chances are that they will be the favorite. We could be 16-0 and I still think we would walk into the SB as an underdog given the fact that the media has historically down played us (and maybe with good reason).
