Default LB Jarvis Jones visiting Cardinals

Cardinals interested in an ex-steeler? of course...

Steelers' LB Jarvis Jones is visiting today with the Arizona Cardinals, per source. Steelers remain interested, still in discussions.

Don't know if he want to be a back up. Both starting OLB spot are locked down.

We do need a backup with Okafor gone

but the backup needs to play special teams, and I dont think Jarvis does. I dont like it

Wherever he goes, he's a likely backup. (Prefer Okafor)

Is Okafor signed to anyone yet?

As for Jones, is he better than Okafor? Or was it the Steeler's LB scheme?

No but hes gone. Thats like saying Minter isnt gone BC he isnt signed yet. No word we are talking to either guy

and Jarvis was a bust in Pitt. My primary concern is special teams which Okafor was a big contributor. I dont think Jarvis plays ST at all

Steelers still interested in Jones, AZ still interested in Okafor, both out finding their market value. For what it's worth, Jones tends to show up higher on FA big boards than Okafor does by a pretty big margin, and both are likely being looked at as backups. Jones was a first rounder viewed as a big bust, but that is in the context of being a first rounder. As part of a rotation, he has shown well sealing the edge as a run stopper, just not as a guy to get to the QB. I'd think he could rotate in for Jones on more obvious running plays and be depth. No idea if he has special teams ability.

Coming out of Georgia dude was supposed to be a sackmaster, he has 6 sacks in 4 seasons. By comparison, Markus Golden has 16.5 sacks in 2 seasons.
