One draft day when he was surrounded by all his peeps all dressed up like it was a tacky musical I knew this guy would be a bust. He spends most of his days at banana republic outfitting his boys and not enough dedicated to his craft. I have virtually no faith in this guy.
Yep. Mattheiu has zero to prove on the field, so the question is silly from that perspective. Nkemdiche, the guy who thought he could fly at Ole Miss, couldn't even figure out he needed to bring a tie along on road trips. So far everything says Forrest Gump mental capacity, but without Gump's desire to succeed.

OUCH! Nkemdiche plays DE (uh, when he plays). Unlike HB, it's not like Nkemdiche has a lot to process mentally as a DE. PVT Forrest Gump would be a fine DE too. LOL.

TM is awesome when he's put there and not in recovery mode but he has to prove he can stay healthy on the field.

    TM 100%.

He HAS to stay healthy. If he gets hurt again, we need to start figuring out a way to get out of the contract. Hes an injury bust. Not his fault, just bad luck. Cant pay that much to a guy always hurt.

Nkemdiche has to prove that he can compete at the NFL level. Mattheiu does not!

I wasn't aware Mathieu had to prove anything. Major nearly unpreventable injuries and yet continues to bounce back. His resilience alone is incredible, and his on field performance has been stellar. He's not surefire and sure, everyone has a chance to dropoff, but he certainly isn't on Nkemdiche's level of prove it or get lost.

Repeat injuries becomes a part of your player card. No different than a QB who throws lots of picks or a LT who cant block.

May not sound fair, but it is what it is. He needs to stay healthy, otherwise he will be offloaded.

HB.. we can't survive another broken season from him. He's one if (if not) the highest paid players in his position and when he is on he deserves that money and we have NO ONE that can replace him (Hopefully Baker but that's a BIG and INSANE hope).

Dkemdechi either becomes a stud or is out of the NFL in 2 years. He falls into that enigma world where you either start rolling and become amazing at what you do or everyone just says what a waste of talent. We'll see.
I don't care how you do it, JUST WIN!

Nkemdiche is in his 2nd year of a rookie contract no one should really care, Mathieu got paid though and now hopefully he will be able to return to his pre-injury form. Most of his struggles last year came at the FS spot where he isn't the best fit. Now with his legs back under him he will be used in his usual slot role and hopefully he gets back to his DPOY form of 2015

No one should care if a #1 draft pick performs or not? Thats absurd

Both players have something to prove.
