    The argument is asinine, neither team gets any kind of advantage. It is simply a preference, plain and simple...

    Offensive minded coach, want the ball first to impose their will and defensive minded coaches want the ball to get momentum via a stop (especially a three and out)...

    exactly and since the coin flip is a 50/50 proposition, neither coach really has a say over time.

    based on week one this is a non-issue and it will pretty much never be a deciding factor in any game.

    after halftime we forced a punt.
    had the best drive of the game, from our own 7 all the way into the endzone on 13 or so plays.
    after that impressive drive, with a 17-9 lead, we forced another punt.
    and then david johnson fumbled on our own 20y. <- and this was the turning point of the game, not some ideologies whether it's better to kick or receiver in HT1 or HT2...
