Unfortunately the only thing we win are coin tosses.

BA will never, ever stop doing it his way. Hes the most stubborn ******* in the NFL. And no, thats not a compliment. Its the reason hes been fired 11 times. Soon to be 12, if he doesnt retire first.

Ive grown to hate his "Next man up" mantra. Because its perfectly "BA". Next man up needs to play exactly like the guy hes replacing, irrelevant if you have completely different skill sets. Its lazy coaching. A true coach will adjust things to best maximize the new guys strengths.

Yes he is. Hes the QBs coach. The TEs coach. Hes the RBs, OL, DL, OLBs, ILB, DBs, and special teams coach.

Because ****rolls down hill. Amos Jones is still here....because of BA. Therefore BA is responsible for our special teams issues. BA is responsible for all issues because he wont replace his inept coaching staff.

What does starting on O or D accomplish for a team this bad?

    Seriously, asking for a friend.................
    Still searching for our QBOF.

Tell your friend, that at the moment our D is the strongest part of our team so they should 'go first'.
Also, tell your friend that only about 18% of first drives end in a score of any kind.

Opponents also scout each other early in games anyway, so unless a team is really off (see AZ vs PHI), there are not a lot of early scores. So when
these teams get going, it's OUR team that opens the 2nd half and can score THEN and hopefully gain an edge or use that score to demoralize another team.

Tell your friend to call anytime

And what you know about coaching any and all these positions could be written on the back of a cigarette pack with an appropriate warning that paying attention will lower your football IQ.

If our D were any good...then maybe. Frankly, it'd be demoralizing to start the game with the opposition driving down the field. The team, for the most part, has had some offensive rhythm to start, but it fades quickly. I like the idea of being confident and aggressive to start the game (thus going on offense). I think it also helps to know that your offense will be on the field to start the game, since every other team defers, especially at home where the crowd should be nice and quiet.
