Just make the offense look better and play better.
More like the other way around. Dak still completed 63% of his passes and only had 13 interceptions to 22 TD's. If Dak had better receivers, he would have put up better numbers. Dez flat out sucks and can't get open or catch. Jason Witten is old. Cole Beasley is too short and not that fast. Those were his three best receivers.

He can't catch the ball in traffic or the red zone. He was targeted 133 times and caught it 69 times for 6 TD's. This too was on a team with no other receiving threats and with an offensive line that provided good pass protection. It means he couldn't get separation and he drops a lot of balls. Dez had 6 drops last year, which was third most in the league. Agreed, that he is better than what we put on the field but that's not saying much.

    3. He had 6 TD's
    4. He had 838 yards (less than a 1000 yards receiving)
    5. The last time Dez had over a 1000 yards receiving was in 2014.

Now if you actually watched the games in which he played, he was awful. He can't get separation. And he doesn't have the best hands.

There are so many better FA receivers. Dez has been in decline for the last 3 years. Cowboys fans and local writers in Dallas were urging Jerry to trade him two years ago when he still had value. You just like the name Dez Bryant but have't really watched him play the last few years. He is not a good receiver any longer.
    Vous avez raison, mon ami...

    You are right, friend.

Exactly Dez was the only decent WR and he was doubled all year. Prescott couldn't get the ball to his WR and threw tons of short passes to his TE and running backs. In spite of that Dez caught 6 TD's and had a decent year.

If you look at the Cowboys O. RB and TE, Prescott completed better than 74% of his passes. WR his percentage was under 58. Whitten who cought 72.4% of his targets averaged 35 yards per game. Dez, who was doubled up on every pass play last year averaged 52.4 yards per game. Cole Beasley who never saw a double team in his life caught 36 of 63 passes thrown his way.

That's exactly why we need another WR. When you have only 1 he gets either a pro-bowl CB or is doubled on every pass play.

Dez can catch the ball and catch it in the red zone and in traffic. He did it against us.

Let's compare Dez to Fitz (2017), who is much older (and wiser) and played with less receiving talent and less QB talent (after Palmer left) than Dez.

    1. 109 receptions on 161 targets.
    2. Dez stat on receptions to targets: 51.9% - Fitz stat on receptions to targets: 67.7%
    3. 6 TDs for both
    4. 838 yards for Dez; 1,156 yards for Fitz.
    5. Fitz has had over 1000 yards receiving for the last three years.

Now, who wants to tell me that Dez is worth more money than Fitz? If he wants $4-$5 million a year for three years, then yes, he would be worth it, but Dez is not worth the $10+ mil/year that he thinks he is worth. You can run this comparison over the last 3 years and Fitz easily shows why he is great.

According to rumors we offered Kurt Cousins more money than Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. Larry's signed he counts almost 17 million against our cap this year. He's been paid a kings ransom and produced like a King. It's irrelevant on what the market is for other players. Larry isn't holding out or ******** about what we might pay an FA WR.

Maybe Seattle and Dez will hook up. Sherman is gone. The team needs a mouthpiece.

I wouldnt give him more than a 1 year deal with a team option for 2. Dez needs to be held accountable for his play and his mouth, and a long term deal negates that. Hopefully this process of getting cut wakes him up a bit....but I would be willing to give him 7 million on a 1 year deal with an option to see if he wants to be a star again.

    Wishful thinking.

Dez is on his last leg in the NFL. He should go out quietly... but he won't.

The demise of the Seattle Seahawks is greatly exaggerated.

    People want "excitement".?

Draft Lamar Jackson and sign Dez Bryant.

Maybe even the Kardashians show up for the games at the stadium.
