Default Kerwynn Williams will sign with Chiefs

Just posting this since he was a Cardinals. Farewll Kerwynn...

The Chiefs came into the offseason with two Hunts in their backfield and they’ll move into their offseason program with two Williamses as well.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Chiefs will sign former Cardinals running back Kerwynn Williams. They signed former Dolphin Damien Williams earlier this offseason and had the other Williams in for a visit recently

Williams spent the last four years with the Cardinals and saw his biggest workload in 2017. He ran 120 times and caught 10 passes after touching the ball 103 times over the previous three seasons combined. Williams ended the year with 426 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Adding another running back gives the Chiefs a pretty good crowd at tailback as they head to the next phase of their offseason. Kareem Hunt fronts a group that includes Akeem Hunt, Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware in addition to the Williamses.

My reaction to him game day
    Meh
Never did much to say ‘wow’

    He’s a hard worker and he’s good for 2-3 yards a play

    Never saw him juke anyone

He’s a fast straight ahead guy that can’t break tackles.

    Will I miss him
    No not at all

Do I think he has starter potential- no

Good RB. I feel sorry for him All he did was produce but never really got a chance. Whenever he touched the ball good things happened. He is a very underrated RB. He did a lot with such a terrible offensive line. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a breakout year with Kansas City due to the Chiefs traditionally having a very good offensive line that run blocks well.

Glad to hear KW hooked up with the Chiefs. I'm surprised that he still has more hits left in his body. At ARI, his RB production was spotty when he worked all day. So, I'm not sorry to see KW move on. As we know, RBs at his skill level are dime a dozen at the draft and later at UFDA process. If SK wants to replace KW, get RB Penny next week. Though he will cost a 3rd at least.

Not the most talented guy on the Cards roster, but he always gave it his all. Can't say the same thing for others on the roster.

Good luck KW. Hope you have a banner year.

One of those guys who could always be counted on in a pinch. Nope, won't win anyone a Super Bowl, but showed up and performed. Best of luck to Kerwynn Williams.
