Default 2018 Draft Predictions Time Capsule

DO NOT OPEN UNTIL January 2021

So I thought it'd be interesting to humble ourselves... again, and make predictions concerning this draft. The idea is to bury the thread for 3 years and see if we got ANYTHING right in 2021. (I may or may not have peeked at last year's and noticed Cardcore was spot on about Reuben Foster. You nailed it.) So here I go:

    Predictions:

    1. Baker Mayfield lights it up from day 1 and goes onto be the best QB in the draft. (He wins 2 SuperBowls before he retires)

    2. Josh Rosen takes his team to the Superbowl the first year and then never goes back again... ahem Dan Marino. (If this actually happens you guys owe me a beer.)

    3. Vita Vea becomes a stud DT and redrafts top 5.

    4. This becomes the year of the Olinemen as guys like Williams, Wynn, Hernandez, Corbett, and Cole restock a sorely depleted NFL talent pool.

    5. Logan Woodside makes a team, turns some heads, and becomes a solid NFL starter.

    6. Whoever Cleveland drafts at #1 is out of the league in 3 years. (This is my lock)

    7. Whoever Cleveland drafts at #4 is a stud and is AllPro in 3 years.

    Good luck everyone.

(Rimrock, if you could close this up when it starts to die down I'd appreciate it.)

    1. Josh Rosen is the best Qb out of this class
    2. Luke Falk is the 2nd best Qb in this class and makes a team very happy that drafts him
    3. Barkley will be a top 5 back in the league
    4. Arizona drafts oline with the 15th pick
    5. Wr's in this year's class will disappoint
    6. six Qb's will be taken in the first round.

In three years the only QBs in the top 6 this year who are still starting in the NFL are Rosen and Jackson.

WR's that are drafted in the 3rd and 4th rounds this year make a much bigger impact in the NFL than any WR's taken in the 1st and 2nd.

When these guys are coming due for new contracts and the experts "re-draft" the 2018 draft, the top 5 picks are Rosen, Jackson, Harold Landry, Josh Jackson, and Leighton Vander Esch.

Josh Allen to be a superstar QB. All those on this board getting it wrong about him (accuracy percentage), will suddenly 'remember' they were fully behind him, and knew he'd be great in the pros. (It's called the Deshawn Watson complex. Where people claim his velocity isn't of NFL standard so he would be terrible, who now claim they knew all along his performances against Alabama were the thing to focus on)

Logan Woodside has more games as an NFL starter than Lamar Jackson.

James Washington is going to the Hall Of Fame.

The best non QB from this draft, wont be a lineman or a running back. It will be a linebacker...probably drafted by Pittsburgh. Ergo, he is a future HOFer too.
Logan Woodside is not a day three pick, he is the best QB in college.

Too long to wait. I dont even remember if I did one of these in 2017, 2016, etc. And anyways doesnt the board delete old posts to save room on the server? I know for sure all my early posts are gone. Just saying. Might want to print this thread if you want to save it.

    1. Baker Mayfield will be a top 10 QB in the NFL

    2. Saquon Barkley is every bit the elite RB he is. Future HOFr

    3. Calvin Ridley is a bust

    4. Mike Mcglinchey is one of the better Ts in the NFL

    5. Rosen is a bust

    6. Josh Allen is a bust

    7. Lamar Jackson would be good but he cant stay healthy

    8. Josey Jewel is a starter somewhere

    9. Q Nelson is the best G in the NFL

    10. Vita Vea is not a bust but a disappointment

    11. The 2nd best RB out the class: Derrius Guice

    12. Josh Jackson is a very good CB. Lots of INTs

    13. Best DL: Mo Hurst

    14. Best WR: DJ Moore

    15. Harold Landry makes a pro bowl

You sure changed your tune on Vita Vea.

Not sure why, but I just donít want Ridley.
