49ers to be without LT Staley, CB Clements for significant time

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Left tackle Joe Staley limped through the 49ers locker room with a bulky brace on his sprained right knee. Cornerback Nate Clements cradled his broken right shoulder blade in a sling.

The 49ers said Staley will miss six weeks and Clements 6 to 8 weeks.

Nate Clements being out for 6 to 8 weeks is not a big deal IMO. the guy is just plain terrible at coverage. He gets burnt all the time giving up big pass plays every week or so. He is making 6 mil a year & is not worth that much. Clements was benched in favor of a younger kid we got Terrel brown & brown played very well against the Colts.

The Loss of staley might be a factor though. Staley is a good LT but not dominant. I dont see a big drop off from losing those 2 players. the 49ers have bigger problems than losing a mediocar CB & average LT.

Bigger problems how your O-Line is already Cr@p. Good luck with sims LOL. Guess your biggest problem is finding a coach who isn't a cheerleader, Or maybe an OC. Don't really know and sure don't care.

Barry Sims seemed to hold his own against the colts big surprise there. Wonder if he will be able to keep it up though.
