In my opinion. No way does he make the hall. #10 all time list. #4 and 5 on that list are not in the hall.
I was listening to Mike and Mike yesterday and there was a discussion and everyone unanimously said no way. Zero rings and was never dominant. Always solid but the hall isn't for "good" it's for "great". I just wanted to bring this up. So many people here always talked about him as a future HOFer. What do those people think (smelly I'm talkin to you!) Also, odds, he will clear waivers and unless someone gets in a huge inury hole, I don't see him gettig picked up. Que the Sean Alexander fade off the scene music.

I would vote no on HOF. As you said, Edge has been a very good back for years, but the hall is for greatness. His numbers are his final numbers, no one is going to pick him up, he'll likely retire now.

SEA is the RB graveyard of the NFL...and Edge apparently isn't getting any HOF love. He will be remembered for helping AZ get to the Super Bowl, but he does have a ring from IND -- the team sent him one after their Super Bowl win.

No show for the HOF. For sure.

I'd have to agree. If he had been a part of the Colts SB win, there would be a better chance. But, with his numbers being borderline and no rings, I don't think so.

I dont think having a ring should be a prerequisite into any HoF.
However, it is very hard to argue for Edge. I dont see him as a 1st ballot guy. Its very hard to rank his contributions since he was always on the fringe of good and great. Somewhere in between...

I think of Edge along the same lines as Curtis Martin.
Now, that being said I rate Martin ahead of Edge. But with both Martin & Edge, neither was a speedster back or a bruiser back. They just plugged away and amassed yardage. I think if you look around the league and polled fans, not too many outside of Indy or Arizona would say he's HoF worthy. |

Well Edge and maybe a few other backs in the league are the last of a dying breed. Today's NFL uses running back by committee. No longer do we see the workhorse back that gets the 30 carries a game. Edge was able to be the workhorse for a number of years. Oldschool style football.

Hes easily a HOF back no question. In all his years in Indy he had the team kickin butt! And they were bad until he arrived! Then the Cards were bad until he arrived and helped em to a SB! 10 best on all time rushing list and 7o somthing touchdowns lots of passing yards and a great blocker! One of if not the best all round back ever! Dis him all you want his stats talk loudly folks HOF here he comes! As for C Martin? He was a good strong back but to compare him to Edge?? Please mate dont make yourself look stupid!

Curtis Martin is 4th on the list. Has more TDs and a better carreer YPC. He isn't in the hof. End of discussion.
