Default Attack On Ft. Hood

This is just incredible. An Army Major who was a psychologist went on a shooting rampage killing 13 and wounding 28. I hope all of you who have family in the military that your family members are safe and sound. Not trying to go political here but it appears that this nut was shouting Arabic phrases as well as allegedly making anti-American statements at times in the past. My question is, how does a guy like this slip though the cracks? I mean, he wasn't a lowly private, he was a Major. My heart goes out to the families affected by this.

Now I know we're not supposed to discuss politics or religion on this message board...so I'd better not say anything else.

Which is not a bad thing. My hope is that he ends up a quadriplegic who has to live the rest of his life on a respirator. And I want him completely conscious through it all. Had he died he would have been looked at as a martyr. This way if he lives the rest of his life with nurses taking care of him, he'll go out a punk. Also, I'd make sure he knew that it was a woman who took him down.

He managed to survive because the majority of soldiers at Fort Hood were unarmed.

Not sure how long he was in, but when you come in as a medical doctor, you don't enter in as a 2LT as I did. Not sure if Phych docs come as Capts like MDs. They get extra credit for the extra years they spent in school. The FBI has been watching this guy for about 6 months over some internet postings he made. Why wasn't he court martialed back then??? Could have saved 13 lives.

Props to the cop that dropped the guy and put a stop to it - hopefully he gets to stay in a cell on base (lol I wish)

Interesting that they had been looking at him for a bit though. Like as was previously said, why didnt they deal with this already?

Wow pathetic. Of all the things to say about this tragedy we get this comment.

Here's an article about this "Woman". She was nicknamed Mighty Mouse and was a highly trained officer of the law.

She was shot 3 times and still remained standing while she took him out soooo..... Something tells me she could take any MAN on this board down if she wanted to so I dont really see how it's humiliating for this psycho to get taken down by a WOMAN. She's a total hero and I'm so thankful she was there to save more innocent lives.

You're right Katie, she's a total Bad *** to be sure.

In NJ's defense I think he was probably referring to the fact that since this guy was a Muslim extremist, (people who, for the most part, dont have a lot of respect for females) so for him, it would be humiliating to get taken down by a woman, however tough she may be.

That being said, you're right, I wouldn't mess with her either way she looks like a pretty tough cookie. Thank goodness because her toughness probably saved a few more lives.
