Default Josh McCown Raiders

Raiders got their franchise QB and it aint russell. Josh has a very strong arm and a seyt of wheels he was slow to mature but is now mature. russell will have a hard time getting into the lineup because josh is a tough SOB that can put up multiple 300 yard games with a bad line. Proven fact his wheels are worth it. And Josh has a raider size chip on his shoulder. He did not fit Detroits Scheme but Raiders Scheme fit's Josh perfectly. i'm still a big fan and think he'll be an all pro if their line let's him

McCown has to prove he can beat out Andrew Walter first...otherwise he's #3 on the depth chart.

I have very low expectations for McCown. And I believe he has more than earned those low expectations. I'm not sure why Al Davis wants McCown ... but more power to him.

I think the best scenario McCown can hope for is injuries to Walters and Russell. Apart from that, I see no reason to think he will be anything other than 3rd string by week 5.

That's why he's saying it...we'll see if the kitties show up this year, meanwhile we will gladly let Dennis Erickson take us to the promised land.

Well, then, pencil those Raiders in for 3-13! 50% improvement with McCown in the roster!

I personally really like McCown. He's a decent player and blue collar type guy who's had a lot of tough breaks so far in the NFL. i.e. Denny benching him after consecutive wins. I was kinda sad when I heard he went to the Raiders because he's gonna get stuck behind Russell eventually due to politics. He deserves a real chance but won't get it, first overall pick money isn't going to sit on the bench (see top 3 qb's last year). Russell, ready or not, will be playing at least by the fifth game of the year. Josh is in a no-win situation. Win the starters job and you'll still wind up being benched for first round money. I hope the best for him, but fear the worst.

As if having the worst record in pro football wasn't enough. The Raiders have now added to my misery by signing McClown. When has that guy ever done anything to justify being a starting QB in the NFL.

ARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
