Where did this guy come from before this year I never heard of him? Is he a Rookie? Or was this just his first year starting? Can somebody tell me please because after watching him all year, I was astonished at the fact that i had never heard of or saw him before.

FSU seminole who missed his last year in college due to injury. SD signed him last year and he played a decent amount in only passing downs last year. He had a superb pro day with FSU as did Kamerion Wimbley but many felt Cromartie was a slight risk, again having missed his entire final year there with an injury.

So the guy was not even drafted??

No he was a first round pick last year. this is his 2nd year in the league.

2006 NFL draft he was the 2nd CB taken behind Tye Hill, played nickel and WR in college before he torn his ACL, ran a 4.38 at the combine had a 42 inch vertical

Cromartie is a guy I had been dreaming about the Cards taking for years... based soley on his raw talent.

He struggled at FSU with injuries and had he stayed healthy would have been a top 5 player taken in the draft. San Diego wisley took the gamble on the oft injuryed player and now is paying big dividends.

I only hope that his cousin who DRC from Tenn. St. is as good... he certainly has the same raw talent.
