Falcons are some-what considering the NY Ginats first round pick this yer (num. 31), I say we offer ours for him. Tuff to turn down our pick and honestly we will not get a player like him in the draft. Guy is still only 24, already among the elite corners.....AND IS STILL UNDER CONTRACT FOR TWO YEARS, and for pretty **** cheap. This year he's making 4 mil, but next year hes makin 950 K and year 2010 is voidable, but again making around 3 mil. We trade for D Hall and we get two solid cheap years out of him, then either let him go or pretty much have first dibs on him for the years to come, slap a franchise tag on him, maybe just give him that big contract.
But honestly, will we find a player to Halls calibur at #16? Nope, at least not at his first two years here. Lets get the best corner back in the league at 24 years old with only a 4 mil cap hit in our draft ![]()

I'd be extremely happy if this were to happen
If we got Hall and a 3rd, 4th, or 5th that would make my off-season |

theres a reason why the falcons are wanting to trade this guy, hes not a team guy, has a terrible attitude and really does not show up against the premier players in the NFL. We would be trading for him and wanting him to be our number 1 CB, hes better suited to play a #2 corner so he doesnt have to get burned or tooled by the great receivers in this game
i say no and let the giants deal with this guy i would much rather have who we can get at #16 then this headcase. i live in atlanta and have watched him play, he is not worth the #16 pick

I wouldn't go after him..the dude is a headcase and waaay over hyped...I would rather go after Drayton Florence from the Chargers who is a FA or *** from the Patriots who is also a FA.

You would be lucky to get a corner like D-Hall in the top 10 picks. There's less than 7 CBs that can be compared to him in the NFL, muchless the draft. We see guys bust in the draft on a verry frequent basis. There's really no reason not to offer this deal up, its not like he's goin to be a big cap hit as he is still on his rook contract and will be for three years.

I do not think anyone will give a first or even a second for that matter for this guy. He will be gone from ATL no matter what. With that being said GM's will play the waiting game on draft day and will spring for him when the time is right when it makes sense with whats left on the board. ATL will probably be sending out false trade info like crazy til then hoping some GM jumps the gun way too soon.
Should be interesting to watch unfold. For us I say holdoff until the 3rd round if we have not already addressed CB, for possibly are 3. Or a 4 with JJ or something simular. |

Hall - overhyped and overrated. I've watched him get burnt over and over again vs Steve Smith, vs Chad Johnson, the list goes on.

Hes still better than anybody we have. And those two guys can burn any CB one on one.
