What about our kicking game...should we be worried?

I'm talking punts, field goals and kick offs. This is one of the few areas of our team where I'm not so sure we will be improved this year.

At best, our kicking game was only adequate last year. You can look up statistics here....

Anyhow, what do you think about this...there has been almost nothing said about this here, or anywhere else.

Please try to reassure me that we'll be fine as far as the kicking game goes....

in the Fantasy Football/Mockdraft Forum i posted that we need a new Kicker and that Zaz is old and should be replaced.

Both our starting kickers getting old and there stats are going down, down downstairs.

I remind an article last year in December where a Analyst stated that if our Punter and Kicker was at least mediocre we would have one 3 more games. With the top Kicker/Punter he stated it could have been 5 games more (8:8 + 3 11:5(Playoff), +5 13:3 NFC West Champion and no wildcard game).

So yes next year we need to do something there i wished that we did it this year but didn't or we couldn't because we needed the draft-picks elsewhere.

I was surprised we didn't look to bring in a new punter this off season. I didn't think Zastudil really did a good job flipping field position or pinning anyone deep when given an opportunity at least Graham was a master at that.

Feely should be fine, he had 2 awful games against Seattle and Phili but was pretty solid the rest of the season.

Yes, extremely worried. Indeed we should all be losing sleep over every aspect of the team over which we have absolutely no control or influence.

My recollection is that Zastudil got off to a bad start and got progressively better to the point where he was pretty damn solid. As for Touchy Feely, I go into each year thinking there's gotta be someone better but he keeps sticking around. I just don't know.

I still think Feely is a good Kicker. He was a bit shaky at times last year but I think he will rebound (can you remember how good he was in '10?)

As for Zastudil, well he hasn't impressed me that much. I think we need to consider a new punter.

Wouldn't hurt to bring in competition for both positions.

there was a punter at training camp besides Zasty. dunno his name but his jersey was #1. they both boomed it about the same.
